A Portrait in Song

Richard Stokes – Speaker

Richard Stokes (Professor of Lieder at the Royal Academy of Music) will tell the story of Robert’s love for Clara, her father’s opposition to their marriage, Robert’s committal to a mental asylum and Johannes’ passion for Clara. The story will be illustrated by some 25 songs and duets by the Schumanns and Brahms.

Ticket prices are £15 for adults and £5 for children (under 5s free).
